Dreaming a New Dream

If I were brave, where would I lead?
Contemplate the possible. Not just the easy, the visible, or even the understandable, but the wild. The far-reaching. The I-don’t-know-how but I-do-know-why realm of possibility.
This is a day to remember the power of dreams. Dreams aren’t usually born with project plans in hand. Dreams are built, lived, one day at a time, one person at a time, saying yes. Saying yes to life.

What would I do, if I were brave?
Let yourself simmer in this one. Notice what shows up. What are the clues that dance in your peripheral vision? What is calling to you, to become more than you are? Where are your called to take a stand for something not yet born, not yet lived in the world?
Who are the people you want by your side, at your back, as you begin?

If we were brave, what would we do?
Today, on Martin Luther King’s birthday, with an historic inauguration in progress, we have the precious reminder that all things are possible. That faith counts. Along with sweat, dedication, courage, and willingness to dream so big, that it may take generations to succeed.

For you, where is the place to start? How will you know?
What is the first action for you to take, the first risk, to explore your dream?
Are you called to initiate? Or are you called to join, to bring your river of energy, creativity, and dedication to a dream already in motion? How will you know?

Tomorrow I’ll write about centering, and listening. For today, let curiosity reign. Go on a treasure hunt, searching for clues.

You are brave.  Where will you lead?
